ROLE SUMMARY
A new position, Operations – Special Projects, is being created and will be reporting to the General Manager and the entire breadth of Cygnus management. This individual will work on the highest levels of Cygnus to undertake and develop special projects, analyze various business scenarios, assist in major contract and bid proposals, investigate large equipment purchases, investigate various company cost elements and performance metrics, review customer programs, etc.; all working in a team environment across the full breadth of Cygnus management.
The individual must have good Excel capabilities and most importantly must have the desire to seek out ways to make cost effective decisions. Additional experience or familiarity, while not essential, would be helpful in any of the following wide areas used in small manufacturing: production scheduling and work flow control, engineering drawings; blueprints, quality systems, cost analysis and control, and manufacturing machinery and equipment purchases. The most important single element is the willingness and desire to learn and broaden oneself through Cygnus team learning and specialized on the job training that are all apart of developing a successful career and company.

QA Inspector - Full Time Day Shift

The employee will perform a variety of inspection and testing duties to insure that shipped products fulfill all customer specifications and quality requirements.

This new hire will be working in the Pre-process Inspection Area measuring to established detailed specifications and procedures.

Experience with measuring devices is preferred: Faro Arm and CMM and calipers.

Good math skills are required.

NDT Level II NAS410 Penetrant Inspector

This is a full time position for a Certified NDT Level II Inspector.

Duties will include:
  • Perform daily process control checks.
  • Conduct liquid fluorescent penetrant inspection to detect defects using NDT.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and interpret and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • Assist with the training and development of other employees working within the NDT discipline.

Wage for this position is DOE.

Production Positions for Swing Shift (2 - 10:30 PM) - Deburr/Shera/Router/Brake/Mill

Full time swing shift position 2 PM - 10:30 PM M-F.

CNC Mill Operators - Evening Shift - 2 PM - 10:30 PM

Position Summary : Operate and maintain Fadal & Haas CNC Mills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Use measuring tools such as calibers, protractors, radius gauges, radius pins, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges.
  • Use hand tools such as torque wrenches, hand drills, screwdrivers and pliers.
  • Read, understand and follow work order and specifications.
  • Follow written and verbal procedures or instructions.
  • Follow dispatch list for work priorities.
  • Setup machines according to specifications.
  • Load CNC machines.
Education/Experience/Specialized Skills or knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Mastercam
  • Able to prioritize work on various jobs.
  • Accurate with attention to detail.
  • Able to read, comprehend and follow directions.
  • Able to troubleshoot and communicate well with others.
