Production Operator - Router/Shear/Deburr 2nd Shift - 2pm to 10:30pm

 

Position Summary : Production Operator position will operate and maintain production equipment at one or more work center. The position may include any or all of the following production functions: Brake, Router, Shear, Waterjet, Heat Treat, Processing Line or CNC Mill Operator.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

(This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as may be needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.)

  • Use measuring tools such as calibers, protractors, radius gauges, radius pins, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges.
  • Use hand tools such as torque wrenches, hand drills, screwdrivers and pliers.
  • Read, understand and follow work order and specifications.
  • Follow written and verbal procedures or instructions.
  • Follow dispatch list for work priorities.
  • Setup drill presses, riveters, part mark or other machines according to specifications.
  • Load auto bagger and some CNC machines.
  • Sand parts with various tools.

A new position, Operations – Deputy Manager, is being created and will report to the General Manager and the entire breath of Cygnus management. This individual will work on the highest levels of Cygnus to primarily facilitate Cygnus’s entry into the medical devices and instrumentation industry; along with assisting to develop special projects, analyze various business scenarios, and assist in major contract and bid proposals. Applicant must have experience in the Medical Device and Instrumentations Industry
The ideal candidate will have a wide breath of knowledge and experience in the medical device and instrumentation industry and be able to identify and execute marketing entrance strategies. The individual will have a keen eye for detail and have a good commercial mindset, communication skills to negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships. The individual must have good Excel capabilities and most importantly must have the desire to seek out ways to make cost effective decisions. Additional experience or familiarity, while not essential, would be helpful in any of the following wide areas used in small manufacturing: production scheduling and work flow control, engineering drawings; blueprints, quality systems, cost analysis and control, and manufacturing machinery and equipment purchases. The most important single element is the willingness and desire to learn and broaden oneself through Cygnus team learning and specialized on the job training that are all apart of developing a successful career and company.

Cygnus is a high quality precision sheet metal and machine parts manufacturing company looking for an experienced Quality Deputy Manager to primarily facilitate Cygnus’s entry into the medical devices and instrumentation industry. The Quality Deputy Manager, in coordination with the Quality Manager, is responsible for the overall development and maintenance of an ISO13485, FDA Regulated (including GMP’S) quality management system. The job involves a high degree of personal interpretation, judgment, and decision making, and requires the employee to interface with co-workers, suppliers, and customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Applicant must have experience in the Medical Device and Instrumentations Industry.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, train, maintain, and audit the company’s quality systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and approve Quality Department procedures to match customer requirements.
  • Approve changes to inspection and test equipment and methods
  • Lead the investigation of nonconformance’s charged to the Quality Department
  • Audit the work of inspectors to verify their effectiveness
  • Assign department personnel to write and maintain work instructions
  • Exercise fiscal responsibility through making cost effective purchasing decisions
  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and schedule departmental work flow including: Internal Audits, Purchase Order Approvals, Calibration, Training, Corrective Action System, and Inspections.
  • Be able to read, understand and learn customer specifications, Cygnus operating procedures, and work order instructions to certify part Quality Inspection and acceptance.
